​The Empty Hook is an original story by author Joe Dragovich about the true meaning of Christmas. 


Scott was responsible for illustrating this storybook and coloring book, as well as overseeing Jingle Nog's production of the hand crafted glass ornaments depicting the characters from the story; currently for sale on the website.


The artist enjoyed the Bavarian and woodblock themes employed in the publications. The drop caps on the leading paragraphs also added a special touch to the books interior.


Artwork from the Empty Hook has been exhibited in museum installations in Youngstown Ohio, the authors home town.
